The Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) has fined two major coaching institutes for releasing deceptive advertisements touting JEE and NEET success rates.

Motion Education Pvt Ltd and Career Line Coaching (CLC) in Sikar were penalized Rs 10 lakh and Rs 5 lakh, respectively, for misleading claims in their promotional campaigns. These ads prominently featured unstated success stories of students attending free or non-enrolled courses.

The CCPA's ongoing regulatory efforts have already led to over 60 notices and fines totalling more than Rs 1.39 crore against 31 coaching institutions, highlighting a significant crackdown on unethical practices in the sector.
