In a scathing attack, former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has criticized the Centre for increasing petrol and diesel prices, alleging an anti-poor agenda by the BJP-led government. He accused the government of failing to pass on reduced global crude prices to the Indian public.
Speaking at Jaipur airport, Gehlot recalled Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's prediction of a post-election fuel price hike, which he claims has come true. He highlighted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi hinted at fuel-saving practices, foreseeing imminent price rises.
Gehlot also addressed recurring NEET paper leaks, suggesting the involvement of old networks. He demanded the dissolution of the National Testing Agency and advocated for a CBI investigation into past irregularities, asserting that BJP prioritizes religious gains over governance.
