DRI Busts Major Cocaine Trafficking at Mumbai Airport
The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) seized Rs 13.2 crore worth of cocaine at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport. Two passengers, one female from Ethiopia and another African male, were arrested. The total drug haul was 2.659 kg, arrested under the NDPS Act, with further investigations ongoing.

In a significant bust, the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) seized cocaine valued at Rs 13.2 crore at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in separate operations, officials reported on Saturday.
A female passenger arriving from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, was found with 1.575 kg of liquid cocaine hidden in her luggage, valued at Rs 7.875 crore on the illicit market. In a concurrent operation, an African male passenger carrying cocaine-filled capsules internally was detained after passing 70 capsules filled with 1.084 kg of cocaine worth Rs 5.42 crore.
Both passengers have been arrested under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Authorities say they are working to dismantle the wider network linked to this cocaine trafficking racket.
