The Uttarakhand Special Task Force (STF) has apprehended another individual associated with a sophisticated cheating racket targeting online examination centers in Dehradun. This arrest adds to the ongoing investigation into a case first uncovered in February during a Staff Selection Commission recruitment exam.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ajay Singh announced the arrest of the suspect, who used aliases, and revealed detailed electronic setups used to aid cheating. Items found included a laptop, multiple mobile phones, and high-tech equipment such as mini Bluetooth devices and fake IDs.
The examination centre at St John's Academy has been sealed, halting plans for future exams until the investigation concludes. This crackdown comes as a preventive measure against compromised exam practices, underscoring ongoing challenges in maintaining examination integrity.
