In Haryana, significant strides have been made towards the Census 2027 initiative. Officials confirmed the launch of the Houselisting and Housing Census phase across most areas, aligning closely with the state's strategic readiness for comprehensive data collection.
Haryana Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi, during a virtual review meeting, highlighted the Census's critical role in shaping policy, development initiatives, and allocation of resources. Emphasizing the exercise's priority, Rastogi mandated a disciplined and accountable approach from all involved personnel, cautioning against any negligence in duties.
The Census initiative sees notable advancements, with Director of Census Operations, Lalit Jain, revealing almost 97% of houselisting blocks are operational. Collaborative strategies, including the involvement of gram sabhas and adjustment of census-related work hours, are enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the process.
