New Leadership in Gurugram Police: Kabiraj Takes Charge
The Haryana government has appointed IPS officer Sibash Kabiraj as the new police commissioner of Gurugram, succeeding Vikas Arora. Kabiraj was previously the police commissioner of Panchkula and handled cyber and state crime records. Arora is now the Additional Director General of Police, Administration, Panchkula.

Senior IPS officer Sibash Kabiraj has been appointed as the new police commissioner of Gurugram, replacing Vikas Arora, according to an announcement by the Haryana government on Sunday.
Kabiraj, of the 1999 IPS batch, previously served as the police commissioner of Panchkula, with additional responsibilities in the Cyber and State Crime Record Bureau.
Meanwhile, Vikas Arora, who led Gurugram's police since July 2024, has been reassigned as the Additional Director General of Police for Administration in Panchkula.
