Political Scandal Unfolds: TMC MLA's Son Arrested in Firearms Bust

In a dramatic turn of events, the West Bengal Police have apprehended Arghya Mondal, son of the elusive TMC MLA Dilip Mondal, late Sunday night in the Bakkhali-Fraserganj area. Alongside five others, he was found in possession of illegal firearms.
The police operation resulted in the seizure of two pistols and six mobile phones. Arghya Mondal is also accused of threatening BJP workers and supporters, intensifying the political tension in the region.
Dilip Mondal, representing the Bishnupur constituency, remains on the run amidst allegations of political intimidation. The police continue their search efforts for the MLA, whose homes in Pailan were raided last month following a formal complaint.
