Major Accused in Fatal Firing Range Incident at Pulgaon
Wardha police have asked the CAD Pulgaon to transfer Major Manan Tiwari, accused of fatally shooting Subedar Major Om Bahadur Khand during a practice session. An FIR has been lodged against him, and both the Indian Army and police are conducting investigations into the incident.

In a concerning development, the Wardha police in Maharashtra have approached the Central Ammunition Depot in Pulgaon, seeking the custody of Major Manan Tiwari. Tiwari has been accused of the fatal shooting of a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) during a training session at a firing range.
The fateful incident occurred on May 15, when Subedar Major Om Bahadur Khand was killed at the Pulgaon firing range. Eyewitnesses claim Major Tiwari allegedly shot Sub Maj Khand in the eye, resulting in his death. Subsequently, Tiwari was taken into custody by the Jawans and later by the police.
The case has gained attention with an FIR filed under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita Section 103 (1). Both Army and police authorities insist on a thorough investigation, emphasizing transparency and fairness in uncovering the truth behind the tragic incident.
