Manhunt in Austin: Random Shootings Spur Citywide Emergency Measures

Austin is on high alert as authorities hunt for two suspects involved in a spree of random shootings, including at fire stations, that left four injured over the weekend. These incidents have stirred widespread concern in the Texas capital.

In response, residents in a large area of Austin's southern sector have been urged to shelter in place while the manhunt proceeds. The sense of urgency underscores the unpredictable and dangerous nature of the suspects' actions.

Police Chief Lisa Davis reported that at least four vehicles have been linked to the suspects, Hispanic men in their late teens, whose photos were released from video footage. Authorities currently have no motive and fear more chaotic activity could ensue.
