In a tragic incident from Jharkhand's Latehar district, a poaching expedition turned fatal. Rameshwar Oraon, a 40-year-old resident, was accidentally shot dead by a friend while hunting in the forest.
According to the police, the incident unfolded late on Sunday night near Kalkalia village. Rameshwar and two friends went into the forest with intentions of poaching. Unfortunately, mistaking a sound in the bushes for an animal, one of the friends fired, resulting in Rameshwar's death.
The officer in charge, Amit Kumar, confirmed the body has been sent for a post-mortem examination. A detailed police investigation is ongoing, while the other two individuals involved fled the scene before villagers arrived.
