The announcement came after a meeting of the Quad's foreign ministers in New Delhi. Chaired by External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, the meeting was attended by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong, and Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi.
The ministers underscored the importance of maritime democracy and adherence to international law. Key discussions centered on economic resilience, supply chain strengthening, and terrorism, with Jaishankar highlighting the Indo-Pacific's increasing global significance.
