In a dramatic turn of events, two women have been arrested for allegedly setting a police officer's motorcycle on fire at his residence. The duo, identified as Aarathi from Sooranad and Gayathri from Idukki district, were apprehended after an investigation into the incident, which took place at midnight on Saturday.
Police Officer V S Vivek, whose bike was torched, is attached to the Aranmula police station. The investigation team utilized CCTV footage and other evidence from the area to trace and arrest the suspects. It is believed that personal disagreements between Aarathi and Vivek might have been the motive behind the incident.
Moreover, rumors that Aarathi consumed poison while in police custody proved to be untrue, although she was hospitalized. The incident has raised questions about personal conflicts and their impact on law enforcement personnel.
