A confrontation at the home of Samajwadi Party legislator Maharaji Prajapati has resulted in police taking action against 34 individuals, including 10 identified suspects. This incident unfolded on Tuesday evening in the Awas Vikas Colony of Amethi, generating significant unrest.
The conflict traces back to an online argument between supporters of the MLA, primarily involving figures Dheeraj Pal and Sher Bahadur Yadav. The altercation escalated when Sher Bahadur Yadav, accompanied by Jai Singh Yadav and others, allegedly arrived at the residence in multiple vehicles, causing chaos.
According to Anurag Prajapati's complaint, the intruders verbally attacked Maharaji Prajapati and her husband, issued death threats, and physically assaulted those present. Mobile phones were reportedly confiscated to prevent video recording of the incident.
In response, the police have registered a case under several sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including charges of voluntarily causing harm and rioting. Despite arriving promptly, the authorities found the accused had already fled the scene by the time they reached the location.
