The Haryana Congress gathered on Wednesday to deliberate on the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls scheduled to begin soon in the state. This initiative is part of the Election Commission of India's regular updates to maintain accurate voter lists.

Prominent figures Bhupinder Singh Hooda and Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee president Rao Narender Singh led the discussions. They focused on ensuring that eligible voters are accurately represented, while ineligible entries are eliminated. Booth Level Agents (BLAs) from across the state received training for their crucial participation in this task.

The meeting emphasized the role of BLAs, appointed by political parties to cooperate with booth level officers. These agents help manage polling station activities and safeguard voter list integrity. Congress leaders highlighted the importance of public awareness to prevent the deletion of legitimate votes.
