The Indian Air Force's Sarang Helicopter Display Team will perform an aerial showcase over the National Defence Academy on May 29. This is part of the celebrations for the Passing Out Parade of the academy's 150th course.
The event is notable as it marks the graduation of the third batch of female cadets, a significant milestone in the ongoing effort for gender integration within the Armed Forces. The Sarang team, known for its intricate formation flying and aerial precision, will captivate the audience with the maneuverability of their vibrantly painted Advanced Light Helicopters.
Having first appeared internationally at Singapore's Asian Aerospace Show in 2004, the Sarang team has since conducted over 1,200 displays at more than 390 venues globally. The team's helicopters, designed and manufactured by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, are the ALH Dhruv models, used for their agility and adaptability in various missions.
