Faridabad Woman Blackmailing Incident: Two Men Arrested

Police in Faridabad have apprehended two individuals who allegedly blackmailed a local woman using eyewear equipped with cameras. The suspects, identified as Prabhat Kumar and Abhishek Rana from Hapur, Uttar Pradesh, extorted Rs 10,000 by threating to disseminate inappropriate images of the woman online, according to police reports.

The incidents began with a harassing phone call the woman received on January 22, which led her to pay the men via a QR code after being threatened. The case was subsequently filed with the Cyber Police Station Central prompting an investigation that ultimately tracked the accused to their hometown. Initial inquiries suggest the duo was motivated by a sting operation video they viewed on Instagram, prompting them to use the covert camera glasses for unlawful gains.
