In a move drawing significant attention, Bangladeshi officials have intervened to prevent the sacrificial slaughter of a rare albino buffalo known for its striking resemblance to US President Donald Trump's hairstyle. The 700-kg animal, called 'Donald Trump' for its flowing blond locks, was brought under state custody just before being offered for Eid rituals.
Authorities from the livestock department have decided this unique creature will be preserved at the capital's national zoo. The buffalo's owner, Moniruz Zaman, noted the government's intent to provide either compensation or a replacement animal, demonstrating their commitment to conserving distinctive wildlife. Zoo officials have prepared dedicated care and facilities to maintain the animal's wellbeing.
This buffalo, once managed by agro-farm operator Zia Uddin Mridha, had already captured public fascination. It stands out dramatically among thousands of livestock prepared for the ritual slaughter during Eid, a time when millions of animals are typically sacrificed.
