Ramadoss, the founding leader of PMK, has pressed the Tamil Nadu authorities to promptly select a permanent Director General of Police (DGP) to bolster the state's police management. The absence of a permanent DGP has led to interim leadership, affecting the administration.
Following the Supreme Court's guidelines, Ramadoss emphasized picking a suitable candidate from the UPSC-recommended list swiftly. He stressed the necessity for robust police leadership to handle law enforcement responsibilities effectively, including safeguarding citizens, maintaining order, and reinforcing legal protocols.
He appealed for a nonpartisan approach from all political entities, especially the opposition, to ensure the police administration operates independently and lawfully.
