U.S. to Label Brazilian Gangs as 'Foreign Terrorist Organizations'

The United States plans to officially name Brazilian gangs PCC and Comando Vermelho as 'Foreign Terrorist Organizations.' This announcement comes from U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Thursday.

These groups, involved in a wide range of criminal activities, have been under increasing scrutiny from international authorities.

The designation is intended to curb the gangs' influence and limit their operations globally starting June 5.
