The Jan Suraaj Party has demanded an investigation by a Special Investigation Team (SIT) into an alleged molestation incident involving a student at a hotel in Patna. The call was made by party representatives Kishore Kumar Munna and Lalan Yadav, who filed a formal request with Bihar's police chief, Vinay Kumar.
The party is seeking the arrest of all those implicated in the case and has emphasized the necessity for thorough scrutiny of the hotel's owner, management, and staff. The police chief promised a vigilant oversight of the case, pledging to collect and present evidence promptly. An additional demand was made for police protection for the victim's family amid claims of intimidation from the hotel management.
Lalan Yadav highlighted that the incident occurred while the victim's father, hailing from Begusarai, was in Patna with his daughter for her examination. The hotel, located in the Rupaspur area, was where the alleged assault by an unidentified individual occurred. The party has questioned the lapse in security and demanded possible cancellation of the hotel's license if misconduct is uncovered during the investigation.
