Body Retrieved After Drowning Incident at Navi Mumbai Dam

A man who drowned in the Ilthanpada Dam at Digha, Navi Mumbai, was found after a comprehensive search led by multiple agencies. The body was recovered on Friday, informed a senior civic official overseeing the operation.
The distress call about a youth drowning reached the Airoli fire station on Thursday. According to Sachin Kadam, head of the Navi Mumbai Regional Disaster Management Cell, the search was halted on Thursday night due to inadequate visibility but resumed Friday morning. By around 3:20 PM, the body was retrieved from the water.
The search involved tactical support from Airoli and MIDC Fire Brigade departments as well as the Thane Disaster Response Force, as detailed by Kadam.
