The Haryana government, under the leadership of Nayab Singh Saini, is set to host a widespread celebration of International Yoga Day, ensuring yoga's reach into every household. At a high-level meeting, Saini emphasized the need for grand public participation as they prepare to host a state-level event in Panchkula.

The theme, 'Yoga for Healthy Ageing', reflects this year's focus on encouraging senior citizens to adopt yoga. Alongside the state-level celebration, yoga sessions are planned at various community levels to foster widespread interest. There will be awareness drives and outreach programmes across Haryana to engage multiple sections of society.

Saini credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for yoga's global recognition and stressed the importance of connecting more youth with India's cultural heritage. He called for participation from schools, colleges, and local bodies to make the campaign a mass movement beyond routine formalities.

Sumita Misra from the Health and Family Welfare Department indicated extensive preparations for the event, while Jaideep Arya, Chairman of the Haryana Yog Aayog, highlighted the crucial role of public enthusiasm and integration in the event's success.
