The much-anticipated 12th Malabar River Festival, a premier event in Asia's white-water kayaking scene, is set to take place over four days, from July 30 to August 2. Encompassing thrilling kayaking competitions, the festival stands as a significant highlight in India's adventure sports calendar.
Hosted at the scenic Chalipuzha and Iruvanjipuzha rivers, the festival is organized by the Kerala Adventure Tourism Promotion Society. It operates under the state Tourism Department's guidance, with collaboration from the District Tourism Promotion Council and various local institutions. Enthusiasts, both national and international, are expected to participate, enhancing the event's global allure.
On June 1, a preparatory meeting will be convened by the District Collector to ensure arrangements are in place for this grand occasion, as confirmed by officials.
