Anbumani Criticizes TVK's Inaction on Tamil Nadu Government Job Vacancies

Anbumani Ramadoss has raised concerns about the growing number of unfilled positions in Tamil Nadu's government departments, urging the TVK government to address the issue promptly. This backlog not only affects job opportunities for the state's youth but also hampers effective public administration.

With more than 5,000 retirements by May's end, the total vacancies have exceeded 5,00,000, culminating in a worrying 41.7% vacancy rate. Anbumani attributes this situation to a longstanding failure by officials to fill positions, resulting in an annual deficit where only 10,000 out of 50,000 vacant posts are filled.

Despite the DMK promising in 2021 to provide 5,50,000 government jobs, only 50,000 positions have been filled over five years, Anbumani claims. He also criticizes unmet commitments to regularize temporary and part-time workers within the state.
