During a recent event celebrating the 140th anniversary of Deepika, C P Radhakrishnan urged media outlets to focus more on positive stories. He expressed concern that the youth might be led astray by sensationalist trends if the media continues to overlook constructive developments.

Radhakrishnan criticized the focus on fleeting, trivial issues, particularly pointing out recent digital satirical movements like the 'Cockroach Janata Party', which have caught the public's imagination but do not contribute to serious discourse. He stressed the need for journalism to inform and inspire citizens through stories of progress and achievement.

In his address, Radhakrishnan highlighted the essential duties of media in India's journey to become a developed nation by 2047, saying effective journalism can drive social change by focusing on science, community service, and human achievement. He noted that media should balance criticism with the dissemination of positive news to enhance public trust and engagement.

He further commented on the pitfalls of misinformation and the media's responsibility in maintaining objectivity and credibility, acknowledging the pressures and transformations facing the industry.
