Security preparations for the upcoming Amarnath Yatra have intensified, as detailed in a review meeting led by Inspector General of Police, Jammu Zone, Bhim Sen Tuti. Additional measures are being implemented to ensure the safety of pilgrims, surpassing previous years' arrangements.

During his inspection along the Jammu-Pathankot highway and at the strategic Lakhanpur entrance, Tuti emphasized the comprehensive coordination among police, military, and other agencies. "Everyone has a role to play," he noted, highlighting ongoing efforts to enhance the security grid before the July 3 start.

Accompanying discussions revealed confidence in both logistical and security plans, building on last year's effective organization. While some issues remain under investigation, notably in Rajouri district, the focus remains on delivering an improved pilgrimage experience.

The pilgrimage will open on the twin paths of Nunwan-Pahalgam and Baltal, concluding with the Raksha Bandhan festivities on August 28.
