Controversial Claims Surround Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Plant Attack
Alexei Likhachev of Russia's Rosatom announced talks with IAEA's Rafael Grossi on a statement to European leaders about an alleged attack on the Zaporizhzhia plant. Rosatom claims a Ukrainian drone struck the plant without major damage, a claim disputed by the Kyiv military.
Alexei Likhachev, head of Russia's state-run nuclear firm Rosatom, announced upcoming discussions with IAEA chief Rafael Grossi. Their talks will focus on drafting a joint statement for European leaders concerning a reported assault on the Zaporizhzhia nuclear facility.
Rosatom on Saturday alleged that a Ukrainian drone attack occurred at Europe's largest nuclear plant, currently under Russian control. The corporation assured that the strike led to no significant damage to critical equipment.
However, Kyiv's military strongly refuted Rosatom's claims, denying any involvement in a strike against the plant, highlighting ongoing tensions and conflicting narratives surrounding the site.
