Arunachal Pradesh's governor highlighted the critical importance of women's contributions to the state's socio-economic and cultural development. During a meeting with National Commission for Women Chairperson Vijaya Rahatkar, issues surrounding women's welfare and empowerment were discussed.
Governor Parnaik praised Arunachali women for their active roles in various fields including agriculture, entrepreneurship, and governance. He commended women self-help groups for promoting financial independence and enhancing rural livelihoods, and acknowledged women's involvement in cultural preservation and social initiatives.
The upcoming 'Jan Sunvai – Rashtriya Mahila Aayog Aapke Dwaar' program, aiming to amplify women’s voices and rights awareness, was also lauded. Parnaik emphasized the enduring role of tribal women in maintaining social harmony and cultural heritage.
