Amid ongoing tensions in Lebanon, children remain the most vulnerable, with an average of eleven being killed or injured daily over the past week, according to the U.N.'s children's agency. This grim tally emerges despite an agreed ceasefire, as Israel extends its military strikes.

UNICEF has reported that 77 children have faced harm in just seven days. Since the official ceasefire on April 16, 55 children have lost their lives, with 212 injured. The agency, through spokesperson Ricardo Pires, pleads for immediate respect and adherence to the ceasefire by all involved parties.

Adding to the humanitarian crisis, the World Health Organization highlights the spike in attacks on healthcare, causing fatalities and damage to infrastructure, raising significant health concerns for Lebanon's populace. Affected areas include 16 hospitals and 13 primary healthcare centers.
