With the water crisis deepening, AAP members, accompanied by local residents, held protests at some locations in Delhi on Tuesday.

In South Delhi's Dakshinpuri, a crowd gathered outside the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) office in Greater Kailash, holding earthen pots in one hand and banners against the Delhi government in the other, and raised slogans.

''There is a severe water shortage in Jahangirpuri, Burari and other areas. People are yearning for every drop. Ever since the Bharatiya Janata Party government came to power in Delhi, people's lives have turned into hell,'' Sanjeev Jha, AAP MLA from Burari, said in a post on X in Hindi.

''The situation is being monitored by the DJB and we are now receiving water from Haryana,'' a senior government official said.

In Jahangirpuri, a protest was held by the local residents raising slogans against the Delhi government and demanding water supply.

''In the past four days, Jahangirpuri areas have not been getting water, and DJB officials have stated that the problem is likely to persist for 10 more days,'' a protesting resident said.

As intense summer set in, the city's water supply has been hit as the raw water level has reached a critical low, a senior Delhi Jal Board (DJB) official said on Tuesday, adding that the situation is likely to remain the same for the next few days.
