A 20-year-old man from Ranchi drowned while visiting the Bhairvi Dam in Ramgarh, Jharkhand. The dam, which attracts many due to its waterfall-like appearance, became the site of tragedy on Wednesday.
According to police from the Rajrappa station, the young man, named Hamid Ansari, waded into deeper waters and could not make it back to safety. He was retrieved by locals and transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The body has been sent for a post-mortem examination.
