The system aims to enhance the functionality and maintenance of fire prevention measures, with alerts and reports available to building stakeholders and emergency services for improved safety management.

The Delhi government has announced the compulsory implementation of an Internet of Things (IoT)-based Automated Continuous Monitoring System (ACMS) in specified buildings. This cutting-edge system will ensure real-time digital monitoring of fire prevention and life safety infrastructure by sending immediate alerts through SMS.

This initiative, part of the updated Delhi Fire Service (Amendment) Rules, aims to keep both active and passive fire safety systems fully functional and well-maintained, ready to respond efficiently in case of emergencies. Building owners, occupiers, and fire safety auditors will receive timely alerts and reports through mobile applications, emails, and SMS.

Divided into two phases for execution, the first phase grants access to critical alerts and system condition reports. The second phase intensifies oversight by directly transmitting crucial alarms such as pump power failures and low pressure alerts to the Delhi Fire Service.

The system harnesses IoT gateways connected to cloud servers, facilitating uninterrupted monitoring and reporting. It comes with complete machine-to-machine communication, supporting 4G, 5G, Ethernet or Wi-Fi for connectivity and ensuring data is uploaded every minute for effective monitoring.
