Taiwan's government has launched a sharp criticism against Russia and China over their portrayal of World War II history, stating that Chinese communist forces did not make any significant contributions in the fight against Japan.
The Taiwanese government argues that the Republic of China, alongside the U.S., Britain, and Russia, led the war efforts, temporarily halting an internal civil conflict to counter Japanese expansion.
In response to comments made by Russian President Vladimir Putin to Chinese President Xi Jinping, Taiwan maintains that it was their government and people who ultimately contributed to winning the war, rather than the communists who took the opportunity to solidify their power.
