Escalating Tensions: Missile Strikes Intensify Between Iran and Israel
The conflict between Iran and Israel escalated with a series of missile exchanges, resulting in casualties on both sides. Israel achieved aerial dominance over Tehran, targeting missile launch sites and command centres. Iran launched retaliatory attacks, with concerns about escalating violence and regional instability. Civilian areas faced significant damage in Israel.

The escalating conflict between Iran and Israel saw a marked increase in missile exchanges, causing significant casualties and damage. Early on Monday, Iran launched a new wave of missile attacks on Israel, killing at least eight people. In retaliation, Israel struck back, issuing evacuation warnings to residents of Tehran as it claimed air superiority over the capital.
Israeli forces targeted more than 120 missile launchers in central Iran and command centers of Iran's Quds Force. Brig Gen Effie Defrin stated that the strikes dealt a comprehensive blow to Iranian threats, as fighter jets dismantled critical infrastructure. Meanwhile, Iran fired approximately 100 missiles, causing damage, including an attack near the American consulate in Tel Aviv.
Throughout the four-day conflict, at least 24 Israelis and over 224 Iranians have died. The tension stemmed from Israel's assault on Iranian military leaders and nuclear facilities, citing the need to impede Iran's nuclear ambitions. As both sides exchange retaliatory strikes, fears of widespread war increase, destabilizing the already fragile region.
