In a crucial electoral test for political parties, the Visavadar and Kadi assembly constituencies in Gujarat witnessed significant voter turnout in the initial hours of the bypolls. By 11 am, Visavadar saw 28.15% of its electorate casting votes, while Kadi reported 23.85% turnout.
The two seats became vacant following the resignation and shifting allegiance of an AAP MLA in Visavadar and the unfortunate demise of a BJP MLA in Kadi. The BJP, Congress, and AAP have each fielded candidates, emphasizing the competitive nature of the race where new contenders seek victory through 294 polling stations.
