In a major political event, senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is set to visit Odisha in the second week of July to address a public meeting. The announcement was made by OPCC president Bhakta Charan Das on Thursday.
The public meeting, scheduled after the Bahuda Yatra on July 5, will also feature Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge. This marks an important return to Odisha for Gandhi, who has been focusing on national issues post the 2024 elections.
The rally will address critical issues such as rising crime against women and the recent diarrhoea outbreak in the state. It will also spotlight the party's 'Samvidhan Bachao Abhiyan' campaign, aiming to safeguard the Constitution.
