They noted the discord among G7 leaders over Ukraine, particularly highlighting U.S. President Trump's actions. The talks also covered the Israel-Iran crisis and upcoming BRICS cooperation strategies.

In a pivotal call amid global diplomatic tensions, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping conversed over the G7 summit's discord, according to the Kremlin. Their discussion shed light on perceived frictions among the Group of Seven nation leaders.
Divergence at the summit, held in Canada, was marked by disagreement over the handling of the Ukraine war, especially after U.S. President Donald Trump expressed support for Russia's Putin and exited early to address the Israel-Iran crisis, impacting Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy's diplomatic efforts.
