During a meeting of the Joint Parliamentary Committee on the Constitution (One Hundred and Twenty-Ninth Amendment) Bill, 2024, the chief minister stressed the importance of holding byelections annually to uphold democratic values.
The meeting was marked by a detailed discussion on the proposed electoral framework and was attended by key political figures, including Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri and MP Anurag Thakur. The delegation was honored with traditional Himachali hospitality.
