A seasoned figure in Indian football circles, Mohanraj offers extensive experience both as a player and coach, holding an AFC 'A' Diploma. His previous coaching credentials include India's U-19, U-20, and U-23 teams, coupled with leading Tamil Nadu to a Santosh Trophy final after an eight-year hiatus, according to a press release by the club.

During his playing career, Mohanraj donned the Indian jersey at the senior level and was a key player for clubs like Mohun Bagan, ATK, and Chennaiyin FC, clinching the inaugural Indian Super League title in 2014.
