PMK Leadership Clash: Ramadoss vs Anbumani

Dr. S Ramadoss, the founder-president of PMK, has firmly denied claims by his son, Anbumani Ramadoss, blaming the ruling DMK for internal confusion within their party. The senior Ramadoss labeled his son's accusations as 'a blatant lie' during an interaction with reporters.

Anbumani Ramadoss, a former Union Minister, had on June 16 stated that the DMK was attempting to destabilize the PMK by creating confusion over reserved community matters. This allegation was made during a meeting with party cadres where Anbumani accused the DMK of deceit towards the Vanniyar community.

The political rift has reportedly led to a series of meetings between Anbumani and PMK members. However, at the latest gathering in Salem, two senior party legislators were absent due to health concerns. The elder Ramadoss has expressed that clarity on the leadership situation will evolve over time, echoing a Tamil adage.
