RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav ignited controversy on Friday by labeling Prime Minister Narendra Modi a 'pickpocket,' claiming public funds were being used for Modi's rallies. The remarks were sternly rebuked by the ruling NDA in Bihar.
In a press conference following Modi's Siwan visit, Yadav asserted that administrative resources were used coercively to amass crowds, accusing NDA parties of manipulating public funds for their political gain. ''This is simple pickpocketing,'' Yadav declared, opposing both the Prime Minister and Chief Minister.
Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary condemned Yadav's statement, likening it to the film dialogue 'Mera Baap Chor Hai.' Concurrently, JD(U) leader Neeraj Kumar referenced historical legal issues involving Yadav's father, intensifying political tensions as assembly elections approach.
