Amid increasing criticism over her handling of a contentious border dispute with Cambodia, Thailand's Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra refuses to resign, according to a senior official of the ruling Pheu Thai party.

The official, Sorawong Thienthong, who holds the position of Thailand's tourism minister, announced via a Facebook post that the prime minister remains steadfast in her decision to stay in office.

This statement comes as calls for her resignation grow louder, fueled by dissatisfaction with her management of international relations, yet the prime minister maintains a firm stance against stepping down or dissolving parliament.
