Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has voiced his optimism for peace, urging Israel and Iran to halt attacks and engage in dialogue. Speaking from Ganderbal on Saturday, Abdullah shared his concerns about the ongoing conflict.
While addressing reporters, Abdullah questioned the rationale behind Israel's aggression towards Iran, despite recent U.S. intelligence reports indicating Tehran is not on the brink of producing a nuclear weapon. 'There seems to be political motives at play,' he remarked, hoping that discourse would prevail over hostility.
During his visit to Ganderbal, Abdullah emphasized his role as a proponent of local development. He inaugurated new projects, including a marriage hall and a bridge foundation, fulfilling long-standing community demands.
