Thailand's Political Turmoil: Paetongtarn Shinawatra's Stand amidst Crisis
Thailand's Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra refuses to resign or dissolve parliament amidst intense political tension. Calls for her resignation have grown due to her handling of a dispute with Cambodia and a leaked phone conversation. Protests are planned in Bangkok as political pressure mounts.

Thailand Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra announced she will not resign or dissolve parliament despite increasing unrest. A senior official from the Pheu Thai party confirmed her determination to stay the course amid the ongoing political crisis affecting Southeast Asia's second-largest economy.
Tourism Minister Sorawong Thienthong stated on Facebook that, despite rising calls for her resignation over a border dispute with Cambodia, Shinawatra remains committed to resolving national issues. "The government confirms its intention to continue working without resignation or dissolution," he expressed.
The recent leak of a phone call between Shinawatra and Cambodia's former leader Hun Sen has added fuel to the fire, prompting the Bhumjaithai Party to withdraw support. As political pressure mounts, activists are organizing a protest in Bangkok, demanding her resignation. Shinawatra, however, has yet to comment publicly on the situation.
