Remembering Syama Prasad Mookerjee: Legacy of a Visionary Leader

The Delhi branch of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) commemorated the death anniversary of Bharatiya Jana Sangh founder Syama Prasad Mookerjee on Monday.

In a tribute ceremony at S P Mookerjee Park, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan paid their respects. They laid floral tributes at Mookerjee's portrait and reflected on his political legacy.

Union Minister Pradhan emphasized Mookerjee's lasting influence, noting his 1953 protest in Kashmir against multiple political systems in India. This act foreshadowed the recent abrogation of Article 370 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government, demonstrating Mookerjee's continued relevance.
