Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Tuesday showcased gratitude through a roadshow following the Aam Aadmi Party's (AAP) triumphant retention of the Ludhiana West Assembly seat. AAP candidate Sanjeev Arora clinched victory over Congress opponent Bharat Bhushan Ashu by a margin of 10,637 votes.

The election, necessitated by the January demise of AAP MLA Gurpreet Bassi Gogi, concluded with Arora amassing 35,179 votes. Concurrent candidates from BJP and Shiromani Akali Dal saw lesser traction, with Akali Dal's Parupkar Singh Ghuman losing his security deposit.

Acknowledging the people's role in this electoral success, Mann emphasized the pivotal part played by party workers. Newly victorious Arora, alongside leaders like Manish Sisodia, echoed sentiments of transparent governance and continued efforts to address societal issues like drug eradication and educational upliftment in Punjab.
