Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav launched a scathing attack on the Congress party on Wednesday, accusing them of disrespecting Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar's legacy with what he termed as 'shameless drama' in Gwalior aimed at securing votes.
Yadav's criticism focused on a protest staged by the Congress in Gwalior, which demanded the installation of Ambedkar's statue at the Madhya Pradesh High Court's bench. Speaking to reporters in Indore, Yadav claimed that the Congress had never respected Ambedkar, either during his lifetime or posthumously.
He alleged that previous Congress administrations had deliberately obstructed efforts to place Ambedkar's statue on the premises of the Gwalior bench of the High Court. Yadav also pointed out that the Congress leaders' actions coincided with the matter being brought before the Chief Justice of the High Court.
