Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah confidently asserted on Monday that his administration will endure a full five-year term, likening its stability to a 'rock.' His remarks come amid rumors of discord with Deputy CM DK Shivakumar, yet the two presented a united front in Mysuru, holding hands as the CM addressed reporters.

Responding to the purpose of Congress General Secretary and Karnataka in-charge Randeep Surjewala's visit, Siddaramaiah clarified that it is intended to reinforce the party's organizational strength. 'He is coming to the state to strengthen the organization. He will do his job,' the CM explained.

When asked about Leader of Opposition R Ashoka's claim that the CM would not inaugurate the Dussehra festival, Siddaramaiah dismissed the notion, affirming the government's solidity. 'What do you think, will I inaugurate Dussehra? DK Shivakumar and I are together, and this government will remain intact for five years like a rock,' he stated.

Amidst discussions of potential changes, Congress MP Randeep Surjewala is set to engage with party legislators in Karnataka. State Minister KN Rajanna hinted at potential reshuffles, while Home Minister G. Parameshwara expressed ignorance of Surjewala's visit purpose but acknowledged the likelihood of organizational discussions at the state level.

Parameshwara emphasized the Congress high command's role in mediating minor leadership differences, confirming that his governance will remain focused despite external speculations. He specifically noted the potential for upcoming Zilla Panchayat and Taluk Panchayat election discussions, citing the visit's normalcy.

The Home Minister disclosed that he sought a personal meeting with Surjewala, which is set to occur. 'I have requested time to meet Surjewala, and he has said he will come. My meeting is a personal matter,' Parameshwara shared with reporters.
