Senior Congress leader Ashok Gehlot announced on Monday that his 'Rajasthan model of health care' will be introduced in Bihar if the INDIA bloc rises to power following this year's assembly polls.

At a press conference in Sadaqat Ashram, BPCC headquarters, Gehlot emphasized the successes of Rajasthan's health model, stating it offers free medical insurance unlike the Centre's Ayushman Bharat scheme. The Right to Health Act in Rajasthan provides free tests, treatment, and medicines to all families, a model which Gehlot pledges to replicate in Bihar.

Highlighting Bihar's deficient medical infrastructure, Gehlot pointed to 60% of doctor posts remaining unfilled and criticized the underutilization of health budgets. Echoing these sentiments, AICC in-charge Krishna Allavaru labeled Bihar's current government as a 'trouble engine,' alleging inefficacies and calling for political change in the upcoming elections.
