On Mizoram peace accord day, Chief Minister Lalduhoma urged the Mizo community to embrace religious diversity. Addressing the gathering in Aizawl, he highlighted peaceful coexistence as essential with the upcoming Sairang-Bairabi railway line, which could bring a wave of outsiders into the northeastern state.
Lalduhoma called for maintaining a strong, positive relationship with the central government, irrespective of its ruling party. He emphasized the need for Mizos to foster good working ties with outsiders living in the region, dispelling misconceptions about Mizo nationalism as hostile.
The Chief Minister also encouraged political parties to stay within ethical boundaries, focusing on respectful discourse and mutual respect to guide political processes. This, he suggested, would strengthen harmony among the state's diverse communities.
